About the Team
Our Digital Liquor area within our digital function is significantly growing as we continue to invest in delivering the best digital shopping experience for our customers. Our Liquor Digital team is now seeking a Senior Product Designer to join their growing team.
We are currently in the process of rolling out our new Liquorland brand across our website and digital platforms.

 

About the Role

We are seeking a creative and customer-focused Product Designer to join the Coles Group team on a 24-month fixed-term contract. In this mid-level role, you will be embedded in a cross-functional squad, playing a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality digital experiences for Liquorland, one of our key customer-facing brands.

 

You will be responsible for applying a customer-led design approach, translating insights into compelling and accessible designs. From journey mapping and persona development to wireframes, prototypes, and user testing, you’ll contribute to the full design lifecycle. You will explore innovative UI and interaction patterns, helping ensure our solutions are best in class and aligned with our Customer Experience, Business, and Digital strategies.

 

Working collaboratively with product managers and engineering teams, you will help ensure our digital experiences are desirable, feasible, and viable—balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business goals.

 

 

About You

  • Extensive skills in UI & design system creation, prototype development and user testing.
  • 2+ years’ experience supporting digital channels for large, complex organisations requiring stakeholder management.
  • Experience designing for websites, apps and other touchpoints, with a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design. Ability to create rapid, low-fi through to high-fi prototypes and iterate.
  • Experience communicating and rationalising design decisions alongside feasibility.
  • A demonstrated capability in creating UI designs & design systems; & providing developer-ready final designs.
  • Skilled in translating business process and customer behaviours/insights into design concepts.
  • Experience working in a digital-first organisation with a strong customer-centric focus.
  • Highly collaborative style, able to engage with a diverse range of stakeholder to meet targets.
  • Previous experience in a Retail and Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment considered favorable.
  • Demonstrated experience in Human Centred Design.
