<h3>About the role</h3>
As the Procurement Specialist - Technology Workforce, you will play a key role in supporting strategic sourcing and supplier performance. Using data insights, you will lead RFx processes and ensure effective contract governance to deliver optimal technology outcomes. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Support Category Managers with analytics to inform category strategies.
- Maintain the Initiative Tracker, Contract Repository and Initiative Folders, ensuring benefits are tracked and initiatives endorsed.
- Lead and assist with RFx processes as directed by Category Managers.
- Provide analytical and operational support for strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract performance, reporting and other procurement activities.
- Conduct total cost of ownership analysis, should-cost modelling, commodity management, benchmarking and other evaluations to enable informed decisions and supplier optimisation.
<h3>About you and your skills</h3>
You are a commercially savvy procurement professional with technology expertise and a growth mindset. You thrive on uncovering value beyond cost savings and staying ahead of industry trends. The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong commercial acumen, ideally gained in large commercial, FMCG or retail environments
- Proven experience in procurement or commercial management
- A deep understanding of value chain management and the ability to identify efficiency and quality benefits through technology
- Research and networking skills to keep Coles aligned with leading practices and strategic trends
- Demonstrated experience in vendor selection and management for category related goods and services, including:
- RFP creation and execution
- Financial and scope analysis
- Implementation of optimised commercial models (fixed price, time and materials, fixed capacity)
- Total cost of ownership considerations
