<h3>About the role</h3>
As the Procurement Specialist - Consumables, you will provide support for Category Managers with a range of procurement activities, including analytical reporting, strategic sourcing, SRM, contract performance management, reporting, and other procurement activities.
Please note: This is a 12 month fixed term contract.
- Executing and maintaining Ariba, Wave and Salesforce activities, including reporting, system maintenance and optimisation, to ensure information is accurate and up to date for HO Store Operations and Capital Procurement.
- Supporting Procurement Category Managers by extracting required Ariba data to assist with compliance and the development of forward strategies at the category level.
- Leading and supporting RFx processes as directed by the Category Manager.
- Keeping the Initiative Tracker, the Contract Repository and Initiative Folders current, ensuring that benefits are effectively tracked, reported and supported through the endorsement and approval process.
- Providing analytical and operational support across strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract performance, reporting and other procurement activities.
- Conducting total cost of ownership analysis, should‑cost work, commodities management, benchmarking and other analytical activities to support effective decision‑making and the management of suppliers and spend categories.
<h3>About you and your skill</h3>
Our ideal candidate will bring strong commercial acumen, possibly gained in other large commercial/FMCG/Retail enterprise. You’ll also have deep value chain management knowledge, including the ability to look for value beyond savings via efficiency and quality benefits available through technology. Ideally, you will have:
- Related tertiary qualification, ideally with Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Law or Property category
- Competent in Ariba, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and e-procurement tools/systems
- Demonstrated understanding of basic Australian contract law as it relates to the purchase and supply or goods and services
- Skills or enthusiasm to learn the development of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models that, where applicable, incorporate all cost dimensions and risk analysis elements
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
