As a part of the Technology team, you get the opportunity to work through complex, challenging, meaningful problems using large data sets and new technologies to expand your skills and experience.

About the role

As a Practice Manager - Store Operations, you will be responsible for building, managing, and developing the project delivery workforce that supports technology initiatives across store operations and corporate platforms. Rather than directly delivering projects, this role focuses on workforce planning, capability uplift, resource management, and leadership of delivery professionals.

You’ll partner with senior Delivery and Program leadership to align workforce planning with strategic priorities, uplift delivery maturity, improve frameworks and practices, and drive consistent high‑quality delivery.
This is a leadership role that requires strong stakeholder engagement, commercial acumen, and the ability to shape and grow a high‑performing delivery capability.

Key responsibilities include

  • Leading workforce planning, capability development and resource allocation across the delivery organisation
  • Building, coaching and developing high‑performing project delivery professionals
  • Uplifting delivery frameworks, methodologies, practices and tools to drive consistency and excellence
  • Partnering with Delivery and Program leaders to ensure alignment between workforce capability and strategic priorities
  • Managing vendor partnerships, contracts, governance and performance to ensure high‑quality outcomes
  • Overseeing portfolio insights, reporting, risks, dependencies and delivery data quality for executive decision‑making
  • Driving continuous improvement across delivery processes, communities of practice and professional development initiatives

About you and your skills

You will bring strong leadership capability, delivery experience, and strategic thinking, including:

  • Experience in senior technology, project delivery or program leadership roles within large, complex organisations
  • Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams, uplift capability and drive professional development
  • Strong background in enterprise technology delivery, operating models and hybrid cloud or platform environments
  • Demonstrated experience in vendor management, contract governance and commercial decision‑making
  • Expertise in PMO, portfolio management or delivery excellence functions
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across business and technology teams
  • Experience with project and program management methodologies and tools such as PMI, PRINCE2, Agile, MS Project, Jira or Confluence
