About the team
Our Technology team is the backbone of the business, building and maintaining the information technology infrastructure that support Coles Group. As a part of the Technology team, you get the opportunity to work through complex, challenging, meaningful problems using large data sets and new technologies to expand your skills and experience.
About the role:
As a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance, delivery, and people management of the portfolio, for Store Infrastructure Technology initiatives.
This role ensures delivery excellence, meeting strategic goals, and maintain delivery governance on timelines, budget and scope, while building and supporting high-performing teams.
Key responsibilities include:

- Articulate and communicate the Store Infrastructure Deliver vison, strategy, and roadmap to stakeholders
- Partner closely with other technology and business partners to understanding current and future projects and programs and being able to impart the business value of these to downstream operations, digital and business teams
- Engagement with a wide variety of customers
- Builds trust with key stakeholders
- Ensures stakeholders are current with the status and roadmap of the capability through proactive advocacy
- Demonstrate and impart leadership qualities which are reflective of Coles team vision and values
- Demonstrate ownership of agendas and work activities
About you and your skills:
- At least 10 years senior IT experience, across a diverse range and scale of senior roles in retail technology infrastructure, within a variety of operating and delivery models including operation support.
- Demonstrated experience in influencing and implementing strategic planning and organisational structure, including operating models and functional designs, and enabling enterprise objective alignment.
- Demonstrated experience in capability and enablement-based functions and continual improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in objective and measurement design, planning, and implementation, including integration with external parties such as development vendors, partners, or stakeholders.
- Proven record of people management and involvement in resource management.
- Advanced understanding of all aspects of technology’s broader operational environment (i.e., processes, procedures, associated toolsets, operating systems, etc.).
- Solid understanding of Technology infrastructure, and services in a retail environment, with a technical background.
