About the role

 

The scope of this role sits within the Coles Group, supporting all brands across the Coles Group Portfolio (i.e. Express, Liquor, Coles Services, Distribution Centres, RROA, Chef Fresh and Supermarkets). 

 

Reporting into the Payroll Compliance and Reporting Lead (within the Reward and Governance CoE), the Payroll Compliance Analyst will provide payroll compliance monitoring and reporting for allocated brands and to provide oversight and compliance assurance across the payroll landscape with the core purpose of championing a consistent approach to payroll across Coles brands and reducing payroll non-compliance risk.

 

 

What you'll be doing

 

The primary objective of the Payroll Compliance Analyst is to perform compliance checks across the payroll landscape to identify any risks of non-compliance with relevant employment legislation and EA terms and conditions, as well as to provide tactical fixes and inform longer term strategic solutions.

 

 

Good things you'll need

 

  • Strong eye for detail
  • Previous experience in auditing (payroll preferred)
  • Proven experience in a payroll operations and compliance and controls environment
  • Demonstrated experience with payroll and T&A systems and end to end payroll processes
  • Demonstrated understanding of payroll tax and workcover legislation, superannuation and PAYG
  • Able to interpreting complex industrial instruments including Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements (EAs)
  • Experience in identifying and consolidating payroll compliance risks and issues across an organisation
  • Experience in managing and applying payroll risk compliance frameworks #LI-PC
