About the role

In permanent role you will report into the Strategic Sourcing Lead and will develop supply strategies for the Coles Own Brand Finished Goods to ensure best value solutions and improved supplier relations are achieved.


You will also:
•    Support and implement the Coles Own Brand Sourcing strategy to structurally drive cost out of the business
•    Manage and structure key sourcing initiatives to conclusion and maintain ongoing alignment with key business customers and relevant stakeholders
•    Engage the market through supplier scoping exercises to identify supply partners that meet Coles Own Brand requirements
•    Achieve and exceed the annual efficiency and value targets set against plans
•    Partner with varied senior stakeholders up to executive level to ensure optimal category strategy is developed for Own Brand core SKU’s
 


About you and your skills

In this new role for the function there is great opportunity to have genuine impact I the work you will do. You will have the ability to make this role your own.  You will also have:


•    Proven experience as a procurement category/sourcing practitioner experience preferably with Food or Beverage exposure
•    Demonstrated hands on procurement experience
•    Previous exposure to the use of source to pay and related procurement digital solutions (spend analytics, third party risk management, sourcing events and contract and supplier management) with SAP Ariba or an equivalent system
•    Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
•    Ability to plan and multitask in a fast-paced environment
•    Critical thinking with the ability to operate in a dynamic, customer-driven retail environment
