About the role
Based in Melbourne, as the National Fleet Safety Specialist, you will be a safety professional that proactively delivers the fleet safety and compliance strategy for Coles Online and CFC van operations. This means ensuring all vans are roadworthy and fit for purpose as a service level offering, across a fleet of 1200 vans currently. You will be responsible for embedding a safe fleet operational practices as part of a risk management framework as well as supporting the implementation and maintenance of fleet safety procedures.
About you and your skills
We are looking for a professional ideally with a minimum of 3 years background in FMCG distribution, transport or a logistics environment. Specifically, you will be a genuine specialist with experience in safety, critical risk reduction and fleet management who is looking for their next career opportunity.
You will also bring:
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship building capabilities with internal and external parties
- A proven record of achieving results and leading change within a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Clear demonstration of an ability to incorporate safety requirements while considering commercially viable and practical solutions
- Strong understanding of business case management for safety initiatives that involve CAPEX or OPEX
- Competency in the safety reporting and evaluating compliance, to then transform insights into frontline safety initiatives to address risk
