About the role
This is a rare opportunity to own marketing measurement at scale and turn insight into action. As Marketing Effectiveness Manager at Coles, you will shape how we measure impact, demonstrate return on investment, and optimise marketing activity.
Working on campaigns that reach millions of Australians, you will sit at the heart of marketing, partnering with media, brand, performance, insights, agencies and platforms to ensure marketing investment delivers clear, measurable outcomes.
This Melbourne-based role offers flexibility to work from home two days per week. Applications close Monday 19 January.
What you will do
You will be responsible for applying and evolving Coles’ marketing measurement tools and frameworks to assess effectiveness, drive optimisation and improve decision-making across marketing activity.
You will also
• Measure marketing impact and ROI using established and emerging frameworks including econometrics, digital attribution and channel analytics
• Apply insights to live and future campaigns to support optimisation and smarter investment decisions
• Own and continuously improve measurement frameworks across media and channels
• Partner with agencies, vendors and digital platforms to deliver robust, actionable insights
• Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to diverse stakeholders to influence outcomes and investment
• Share learnings across the marketing team to build capability, confidence and curiosity in measurement.
About you and your skills
You come from a marketing analytics, marketing effectiveness or measurement-focused background, with strong hands-on application experience in application of measurement to marketing activity. You’ll also be up to date with the latest in measurement best practice including knowledge of measurement tools and application.
With 5+ years’ experience, you may currently be or have been a Marketing Effectiveness Manager, Marketing Analytics Manager, Marketing Analyst with strong application experience, a Marketing Manager with a media or transformation focus, or come from a media agency, platform or specialist measurement or insights organisation.
You’ll also bring
• Strong experience interpreting data, forming clear recommendations and driving action
• Hands-on experience with marketing measurement methodologies such as econometrics, digital attribution and channel performance
• A solid understanding of media and channel performance analytics and attribution methodologies ideally within a large-scale or fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to influence and present to senior and diverse stakeholders, supported by clear storytelling and communication skills.
