About the role


Our Store Development team is constantly challenging the possibilities of retail design. It’s not only an exciting environment to work in, it’s a rewarding one too. Every day, we work with innovative formats and concepts to connect with customers and improve their in-store experiences, no matter the size or layout of our stores.


With three iconic brands (First Choice Liquor Market, Liquorland and Vintage Cellars) to our name, our Liquor team is well on its way to becoming Australia’s favourite drinks retailer, serving up everything from premium wines and craft beers, to spirits from local distilleries. An exciting opportunity has become available for a Liquor Design Standards Planner to partner with an exciting and growing area of our business.


Design and document our format layouts for Liquorland, First Choice Liquor Market and Vintage Cellars.



What else you’ll be doing


  • Maintain up to date typical documentation for all 3 brands and upload to file sharing platforms as required
  • Manage the standard drawings and fixture manufacturing drawings in a central and accessible filing location for all.
  • Develop and maintain the Visual Identity/ Signage standards for the 3 businesses.
  • Be the go-to person representing Liquor Standards for all 3 brands.
  • To be flexible with supporting multiple customers and teams across the Coles business including Construction PM’s.
  • Manage external consultants to deliver planning and documentation outcomes for all standards for the 3 brands
  • Identify and drive energy and sustainability opportunities within our blueprints



Good things you’ll need


  • Sound working knowledge of REVIT and CAD
  • Degree in architecture will be well regarded, with architectural drafting related course essential
  • Retail design background well regarded
  • MS office knowledge
  • Some financial understanding of key metrics required to improve Return on Equity through successful stores
  • Ability to work with design colleagues on how to best implement design standards in simple and complex stores
  • Ability to work with construction consultants including architects, engineers, and quantity surveyors
