The Digital Engineering team is growing within our Customer Experience and Technology (CXT) function and we are now seeking a Lead React Engineer to join the team. You will play a key role in building and delivering features across our website/Coles online platforms as well as provide technical leadership across the team. This a great opportunity to be a part Coles major digital transformation in delivering top of class digital shopping experiences for our customers.



What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager you will drive an engineering team to develop delivery goals within agreed timelines, while ensuring the team is developing software quality in line with the broader teams’ expectations.


You’ll also:

  • Facilitate agile scrum practices within the team, offer support to delivery managers in defining timelines and project requirements
  • Facilitate and govern peer reviews and testing standards
  • Empower and develop the engineering team’s skills



Good things you’ll need

We’re after a highly skilled front-end engineer with solid experience using React as well as experience in developing consumer facing websites.


You’ll also need:

  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is ideal
  • Good exposure to Agile Scrum working environments
  • Excellent stakeholder manager skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple technology and business teams
  • Experience building and leading teams
