About the team

 

Our Technology team is the backbone of the business, building and maintaining the information technology infrastructure that support Coles Group. As a part of the Technology team, you get the opportunity to work through complex, challenging, meaningful problems using large data sets and new technologies to expand your skills and experience.

About the role:

 

The Lead Architect for Supply Chain will have stakeholder engagement across senior business stakeholders: General Manager of Technology Supermarket Operations, Head of Supply Chain, Solution Architects, Domain Architects and Supply Chain Delivery Managers.

You will be expected to provide thought leadership across business, technology and operational perspectives and lead the architecture via proactive engagement with a mix of vendors, technology teams, delivery partners and SMEs.

To be successful in this role, you will require extensive Stakeholder management and Supply Chain (in particular, Warehouse Management and Transport Management) experience with a proven track record of leading Architects on large programs and delivering enterprise-grade solutions.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Oversee each stream Solution Designs & Key Decisions
  • Ensure alignment to architecture standards within the program
  • Lead the Architects on the program (that represent solution, infrastructure, integration and data) providing the team with clear responsibilities
  • Provide architectural leadership at a program level - creating, maintaining, and marketing the architectural vision and direction for the program
  • Establish and maintain influential working relationships to successfully deliver against the program and architectural objectives Oversee the System Integrator (SI)
  • Ensure solution decisions are in the best interest strategically and for the long-term
  • Define the overarching Solution Architecture for a Warehouse Management implementation (strong preference for Manhattan)

 

 

About you and your skills:

 

  • Demonstrated industry experience to ensure Coles Supply Chain has a fit for purpose implementation
  • Demonstrated experience of leading multi-year transformation programs implementations is a must
  • Ensure solution decisions are aligned to business benefits
  • Ensure the vendor, technology delivery teams and Coles Supply Chain are aligned in the solution approach
  • Ensure awareness and assessment of other projects outside of the program, identifying where solution opportunities exist, driving outcomes
  • Align and drive architecture governance – identify where gaps exist and proactively resolve
  • Well versed at driving key decisions to a desired outcome and represent them at the appropriate architectural and program forums
  • Participation in the architecture governance and program councils
  • Experience architecting and designing mission-critical, large-scale solutions demonstrating how you approached and solved business problems from engagement through to design.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of:
    • Best-practice architecture frameworks
    • Project and program-level work products that focus on conceptual and logical architectures
    • Modern integration methods
    • Cloud technologies (in particular Azure/GCP)
