Through the Liquorland banner, our Coles Liquor team work to bring the drinks our customers want, when and how they want them. With a network of more than 900 stores and ultra-convenient online sites, the team deliver on our commitment to provide accessible drink solutions for every occasion.

 

About the Role

 

 


We’re looking for an experienced Inventory Specialist to help improve inventory performance across our national Liquor Supply Chain. You’ll partner with stakeholders across the business to solve complex inventory challenges, reduce loss and drive continuous improvement.

 


With visibility across the end-to-end Liquor Supply Chain, you’ll identify operational risks, investigate complex inventory issues and deliver sustainable improvements that strengthen stock accuracy and reduce loss.

 


You’ll have the autonomy to get into the detail, challenge existing ways of working and influence teams across the network to deliver better outcomes. Your work will directly improve stock availability, reduce loss and support a better experience for our stores and customers.

What you will do

 

 


You’ll work across the end-to-end Liquor Supply Chain to protect inventory integrity and reduce avoidable loss, partnering with internal teams and external logistics providers to deliver measurable operational and financial outcomes.

 

 


You will also

 

 


•    Monitor inventory and loss performance to identify emerging trends, risks and opportunities.
•    Lead root-cause analysis into complex inventory issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
•    Partner across Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Merchandise, Technology and external logistics providers to deliver operational improvements.
•    Analyse operational and financial data to identify trends, quantify loss drivers and measure the impact of improvement initiatives.
•    Influence and coach stakeholders to improve inventory disciplines, controls and ways of working across the network.
•    Identify, lead and deliver continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen inventory performance across the Liquor network.

 

 


About You and Your Skills

 

 


You’re an experienced inventory or supply chain professional who enjoys solving complex operational problems, taking ownership and seeing issues through to resolution.

 


You combine strong analytical capability and commercial judgement with the confidence to influence stakeholders, challenge constructively and deliver outcomes in a collaborative environment.

 

 


You will also have

 

 


•    Experience in inventory management, inventory control, warehouse operations or supply chain within a complex operational environment.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, including experience using data to identify trends, investigate issues and drive improvements.
•    Demonstrated experience delivering sustainable process or performance improvements.
•    Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
•    The ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity and take ownership.
•    A proactive and curious approach, with the confidence to challenge existing ways of working and test new solutions.
