<h3>About the role</h3>


As an Internal Audit Manager, you’ll lead and deliver audits that provide assurance and actionable insights to senior stakeholders. You’ll manage co-sourced resources, influence positive change, and contribute to the development of the Annual Internal Audit Plan and Strategy. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and high impact audits. Your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Deliver clear, actionable audit reports that strengthen control environments and drive process improvement.
  • Lead and execute audits within agreed timelines and budgets, ensuring adherence to methodology and professional standards.
  • Support development and delivery of the Annual Internal Audit Plan and Internal Audit Strategy.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships to promote a culture of risk awareness.
  • Manage co-sourced resources and ensure consistent quality across all audits.
  • Prepare and present audit results to senior stakeholders and support Audit Committee reporting.
  • Validate remediation of audit findings and monitor management action progress.
  • Collaborate with External Audit, Group Risk, Compliance, and other teams for coordinated assurance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including leveraging technology within the audit lifecycle.
  • Coach and mentor team members and co-sourced partners to uplift audit capability and quality.

 

<h3>About you and your skills</h3>


You’re a seasoned audit professional with strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills. You bring strategic thinking, analytical capability, and a passion for continuous improvement. Ideally, you have:

  • Tertiary degree including Bachelor of Commerce/Business or a related discipline.
  • CA, CPA, Certified Internal Auditor and/or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) preferred. A Project Management qualification would be advantageous.
  • Experience in retail or large-scale consumer business environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in internal audit, assurance, compliance, or risk management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, highly sensitive business outcomes and influence senior stakeholders.
  • A background in technology-focused internal audit experience, including exposure to AI in the audit lifecycle.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exposure to data analytics tools (Power BI, SQL) for audit testing.
