Our Commercial team is a large, but a close-knit group of trading experts, who are ready to shape the future of Coles. About the role 

 

 

As part of our Commercial Insights & Analytics team, you will work closely with the Manager to support a broad stakeholder group across our Commercial business units, with a focus on Range & Space. You will play a key role in operationalising data analytics, visualisation, and insight generation as part of the Commercial Transformation team.  

 

In this role, you will: 

 

  • Lead, facilitate insight generation workshops with varied end user groups
  • Become a key contact for the varied business units in the design and use of the enterprise-wide data platform, this will include identifying new data streams both internal and external 
  • Deliver high-quality commercial insights, analytics dashboards, and reporting  
  • Collaborate with our centralised IT Data Hub within the hub and spoke model to support the Coles Group Data Strategy 

 


About you and your skills 

 

As part of a small and highly collaborative team, you will work closely with stakeholders across the Commercial function and have tangible impact through the insights you deliver.

 

You will also bring: 

  • Demonstrated experience in SQL and data visualisation tools (Microsoft Power BI preferred) 
  • Strong capability in PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to communicate  
    data-driven insights and strategy 
  • Experience working with databases and cloud-based data platforms (Snowflake highly regarded) 
  • Experience working with retail product data (highly regarded) 
  • Proven ability to work with and influence stakeholders within a complex matrix environment 
  • Experience facilitating workshops and presenting to varied audiences, with the ability to tailor data management concepts to different levels of literacy 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate insights to both technical and nontechnical audiences
