About the role

As our new Head of Supply Chain Grocery, you will partner closely and report to the General Manager Grocery.  This role will see you lead tactical demand and supply planning along with business unit end-to-end supply chain strategy development.  

Through thought leadership, strong stakeholder management, proven people leadership and a focus on continuous improvement, you will lead change and uplift the ways of working across the end-to-end grocery supply chain.   
  
You will also:
•    Develop and implement end-to-end supply chain strategies to deliver the business unit strategy.
•    Lead demand planning activities that drive optimal forecast accuracy performance
•    Develop and foster deep relationships with suppliers to ensure and optimise availability.
•    Manage, coach, and lead a team of 4 direct reports with a total team of 19.
•    Responsible for the end-to-end supply chain optimisation and demand planning activities that drive forecast accuracy.
•    Build and foster constructive supply chain relationships with key suppliers at all levels.
•    Leverage lean ways of working to create a culture of continuous improvement. 
 

 

About you and your skills

This role will see you bring your proven people leadership experience to the forefront, coupled with your experience in end-to-end supply chain management in a matrix led organisation.  
 
You’ll also need:
•    Proven experience in a senior retail or FMCG Supply Chain Management position 
•    Past supply or demand planning experience in a retail of supplier environment  
•    Experience in strategy development in a large corporate environment 
•    Comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end supply chain
•    Demonstrated stakeholder, people leadership skills and management of large teams
•    Current or experience working across functions with a solid understanding of the interface between supply chain and other business areas
•    Strong and well-developed influencing skills due to this being a highly influential role
•    Ability to operate and adapt in a fast-paced culture of change
