About the role

As the Head of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for leading tactical, strategic, and collaborative activities for the Grocery Business Unit.


What you’ll be doing

In this position, you will develop and implement end-to-end Supply Chain strategies to deliver the Business Unit strategy.


You’ll also:

  • Lead end-to-end supply chain optimisation opportunities.
  • Lead demand and supply planning activities that drive optimal results.
  • Develop constructive Supply Chain relationships with key suppliers at all levels, managing and influencing key relationships to deliver strong commercial outcomes.
  • Manage and Support the expansion of Coles Collect.
  • Leverage lean ways of working to create a culture of continuous improvement and drive efficiency throughout the value chain.
  • Lead our sustainability pathway for Coles Supply Chain.
  • Reduce impact on the environment through leadership of sustainable practices.
  • Lead, develop and coach a team of Supply Chain Managers.


Good things you’ll need

  • Experience in a Senior Retail, or FMCG Supply Chain Management position.
  • A relevant Tertiary Qualification, Supply Chain, Logistics, or similar.
  • Experience within International Supply Chains.
  • Demand and Supply Planning experinece in a Retail and/or Supplier environment, with specialist knowledge of end-to-end Supply Chain. 
  • Experience in strategy development in a corporate environment. 
  • Specialist knowledge of forecasting and replensihment applications in a retail environment.
  • Proven leadership of large teams. 
  • Proven project delivery skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders effectively. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work with data and insights to drive appropriate actions.
