About the role

 

As Head of Procurement - Digital & Indirects, you’ll lead the procurement strategy and commercial agenda across technology, digital, marketing and other indirect categories. You’ll shape major initiatives including our customer loyalty and experience platform, bringing strong market insight, disciplined sourcing and constructive commercial challenge to the table. Working closely with senior leaders across Technology, Customer, People & Culture and Finance, you’ll influence longer-term roadmaps while building an empowered team that delivers sustainable value through others. You will also:

 

  • Lead procurement strategy, category planning and market engagement across the portfolio.
  • Shape scope and commercial strategy for major technology and customer initiatives.
  • Influence 3–5-year roadmaps across the broader technology and enterprise ecosystem.
  • Lead complex sourcing, negotiations and strategic supplier relationships at executive level.
  • Drive sustainable value across operating costs, capital investment and demand management.
  • Coach and empower senior procurement leaders, building capability, accountability and succession.

About you and your skills

You’re an experienced procurement leader from a large-scale complex organisation, with the commercial judgement to navigate sophisticated sourcing environments and high-value decisions. You bring the confidence to challenge constructively, influence senior leaders and create the conditions for a high-performing team to do its best work together. You will have:

  • Experience in a retail/FMCG or similarly large-scale complex organisation.
  • Significant strategic procurement, commercial or category leadership experience across enterprise portfolios.
  • Strong experience across technology, digital and broader indirect procurement categories.
  • A disciplined approach to market review, strategic sourcing and category planning.
  • Excellent business acumen with a track record leading high-value, multi-year negotiations and executive commercial decisions through transformation, cost-out or supplier change.
  • Exceptional senior stakeholder influence, with a track record of delivering through others.
