About the role
Reporting into the General Manager Central Commercial, the Head of Pricing and Value is responsible for consolidating and driving the integrated commercial trade planning process across all Business Units.
As part of the Centres of Excellence, you will work with the Business Unit’s to execute the value program, supporting them to manage the pricing and trade plan.
Running regular pricing forum’s, you will present to the Business Unit General Managers and Executive teams, ensuring compliance to Coles pricing policies and streamlined execution of the value plan and agenda.
This is a Senior Leadership opportunity, with a high level of stakeholder engagement and influence required.
You’ll also:
- Identify trade plan gaps and synergies, developing remedies to address these.
- Conduct trade performance reviews and develop actionable recommendations.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive execution, including, Finance, Marketing, Value and Pricing, Customer Insights, Operations and Supply chain.
- Manage the upskilling of the Merchandise teams, embedding disciplines, providing governance and process.
- Streamline cross-functional and merchandise specific processes and activities.
- Identify and drive trade opportunities including cross Business Unit events.
- Manage and imbed the integrated commercial plan and the merchandise activity plan.
About you and your skills
You’ll have:
- Experience working within a complex matrix structure either within FMCG or Retail environments.
- Previous experience in senior commercial and strategic positions, head of portfolio, or equivalent.
- Experience presenting into Executive Leadership Teams.
- Ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholder groups.
- Ability to adapt and develop revised strategy, with experience setting and executing business strategy.
- Demonstrated success of driving commercial programs from concept to delivery.
- Strong analytical skills and trade planning experience.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Previous experience in strategy development, including program scoping, change management and project delivery.
- Excellent commercial acumen.
