About the team
Our Technology team is the backbone of the business, building and maintaining the information technology infrastructure that support Coles Group. As a part of the Technology team, you get the opportunity to work through complex, challenging, meaningful problems using large data sets and new technologies to expand your skills and experience.
As the way Australians shop continues to evolve, our Data and AI Team keeps Coles at the forefront of modern retail. We combine data, artificial intelligence, and applied engineering to reimagine how we engage customers, creating more personalised, relevant and connected experiences across all touchpoints.
Within this, our Customer Experience (CX) domain focuses on building and scaling customer data, audience, activation, and decisioning capabilities to enable more targeted, measurable and commercially impactful customer engagement.
About the role
As Group Product Manager Customer Experience (CX), you will define the strategy and lead the delivery of a portfolio of customer data and activation products, ensuring measurable business value is realised.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across marketing, digital, data and technology, your responsibilities will include:
- Define and drive the CX product strategy across customer data, audiences, loyalty, activation and decisioning
- Own and evolve the Enterprise Customer Data Store, including customer profiles, identity resolution and data quality
- Oversee audience creation and activation capabilities, enabling segmentation and targeting at scale
- Lead the evolution of loyalty and personalisation capabilities to drive deeper customer engagement
- Establish decisioning frameworks, enabling real time and rules based personalisation across channels
- Define and embed measurement frameworks to assess campaign effectiveness, including C360 and loyalty
- Lead and develop a team of Product Managers, ensuring strong product practices and delivery outcomes
- Own portfolio roadmaps, aligning investment and priorities to business and commercial objectives
- Partner with senior stakeholders to align on strategy, influence decision making, and drive outcomes
- Take accountability for product performance, defining success metrics and continuously optimising value
About you and your skills
- Proven experience as a Group Product Manager, Lead Product Manager or equivalent in a large scale enterprise environment
- Strong data background, with deep experience working on customer data, martech or personalisation platforms
- Experience across customer data platforms, audience segmentation, activation, loyalty or decisioning capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to define and execute product strategy across a portfolio of products
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience linking customer initiatives to measurable business outcomes
- Experience leading and developing product managers and cross functional teams
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels across business and technology
- Ability to translate complex data and technology concepts into clear business value
Skills and Qualifications
- Extensive experience in product management across data, customer, or marketing technology domains
- Strong understanding of the end to end customer data and activation lifecycle
- Experience working with modern data platforms and martech ecosystems
- Ability to define long term vision and roadmaps within an enterprise context
- Strong communication, influencing and storytelling skills
- Experience with product frameworks such as OKRs, roadmapping, and portfolio prioritisation
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience
