About the role

 

In this role you will manage the financial governance program at Coles including enhancing the existing financial control framework and liaising with external provider to support the financial governance program.

 

 

What you’ll be doing

 

Additional responsibilities include but are not restricted to;

  • monitoring the delivery of financial controls testing program
  • supporting and providing guidance to the financial governance teams performing controls testing
  • preparing reporting to management and the Audit and Risk Committee
  • liaising with internal and external auditors

 

 

Good things you’ll need

 

  • Tertiary accounting qualification (Bachelor of Commerce or similar)
  • CA/CPA with post qualification experience
  • Proven experience in an external or internal audit role (with specific exposure to a broad range of financial controls) or a similar financial governance role within an organisation 
  • Experience working with large corporates. Retail or listed companies would be preferred but not essential
  • Experience with testing and enhancing financial controls
  • Experience collaborating and coordinating with a broad range of stakeholders across a business
  • Experience with report writing: Board/A&RC reports and financial governance policies
