About the Role 

 

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Liquor Finance team. This role will support the delivery of the liquor strategic priorities through budgeting, forecasting process and reporting, as well as support assessment of new business initiatives and review of benefit delivery to support continuous improvement.

 

You will also;   

  • Drive improved business insight and decision making through delivery of robust financial data and analysis for Operations, covering store Remuneration, General expenses & Loss
  • Perform financial performance analysis and benchmarking of store KPIs to highlight profitability opportunities
  • Support the generation and delivery of budgets & forecasts, running and delivering accurate reporting to internal stakeholders
  • Ensure business plans & forecasts accurately reflect the Operations strategic plans
  • Proactively generate insight to drive commercial decision making, considering internal and external factors
  • Provide ad hoc support to the Operations State teams and provide financial acumen coaching 

 

 
About you and your skills 

 
We’re looking for a strong financial analyst, ideally with a retail or FMCG background. This role would evolve into a Finance Business Partner role down the track, so someone comfortable liaising with all levels of stakeholders and delivering results through data-led storytelling will be the ideal candidate for this role.

 

You will also ideally have; 

  • CA/CPA or similar business qualification, or near with commercial awareness and business focus
  • Analyst experience in a retail/FMCG/complex environment
  • Experience partnering with stores, operations, area managers or supply chain desirable, but not essential
  • Strong stakeholder management skills including influencing skills
  • Experience in dealing with large datasets, preferably exposed to budgeting and forecasting processes
  • SAP and TM1 knowledge desirable
