Our Finance team are a vital partner in every aspect of our business, providing commercial insights to drive our success and influence everything we do. With presence in every department, we analyse performance, and deliver actionable insights that shape our strategic decisions.
<h3>About the Role</h3>
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team. You will be supporting our group supermarket team and will be responsible for supporting all financial account activities.
You will also:
- Deliver financial accounting activities including month end close for Supermarkets portfolio
- Be a key point of contact for Supermarkets
- Deliver Balance Sheet reconciliations for Supermarkets in line with Balance Sheet Policy
- Support business and internal stakeholders on ad-hoc projects requiring financial / technical accounting assistance and/or involvement new business opportunities or initiatives
- Deliver financial controls governance testing for Supermarkets as required under Financial Controls Governance program
- Provide on the job training and coaching to offshore team
<h3>About you and your skills</h3>
We are looking for someone who has extensive experience in a financial accounting role or external audit. Someone who can deliver commercial outcomes with a high level of energy and pace.
You will also need:
- CA/CPA or similar qualification with a tertiary accounting qualification.
- Experience in a Big 4/Mid-tier accounting firm, coupled with Retail/FMCG or ASX listed organisation.
- Proven experience of working and coordinating with a diverse range of stakeholders with the ability to effectively work cross functionally.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing skills and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Advanced Excel skills with knowledge of SAP / SAP HR and TM1 would be advantageous
