Our Finance team are a vital partner in every aspect of our business, providing commercial insights to drive our success and influence everything we do. With presence in every department, we analyse performance, and deliver actionable insights that shape our strategic decisions.

About the role


As Finance Business Partner - eCommerce & Marketing, you’ll work closely with business leaders to turn financial data into practical commercial decisions. You’ll help shape investment choices, improve profitability and support the delivery of sales and financial targets across a fast-moving online retail environment. A key focus will be balancing tighter marketing budgets with revenue, margin and customer outcomes, while building a trusted partnership with the eCommerce team.


You will also:

  • Partner with eCommerce, Central Commercial and Marketing teams to provide clear commercial insights and recommendations.
  • Assess online sales, margin, customer and fulfilment performance to identify risks, opportunities and actions.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting, ensuring information is accurate, timely and fit for purpose.
  • Maintain end-to-end governance and control over significant marketing and media expenditure.
  • Evaluate campaign effectiveness, marketing returns and commercial trade-offs to support investment decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce or reprioritise spend while protecting revenue, profitability and customer outcomes.

 

About you and your skills


You’re an experienced finance professional who understands the commercial drivers of eCommerce and can build strong relationships with non-financial stakeholders. You bring sound judgement, clear communication and the confidence to challenge decisions, simplify processes and keep teams focused on the outcomes that matter.

 

You will have:

  • A CA, CPA or equivalent business qualification, with retail, FMCG or marketing/eCommerce experience highly regarded.
  • Finance partnering experience within an eCommerce function, with a strong understanding of online sales, margin, customers and fulfilment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing marketing expenditure, assessing investment returns and evaluating campaign performance.
  • A track record of driving sales growth, improving profitability and identifying practical process improvements.
  • Advanced analytical, financial modelling and reporting skills, with the ability to tailor insights to different stakeholder needs.
