About the role
As the Finance Business Partner - Transformation & Property you will drive the execution of Coles’ transformation programs across network optimisation, format development and integrated food and drink. Partnering closely with the business, you will deliver high‑quality reporting, insight and analysis to support commercial decision‑making at all levels of the organisation. Your key responsibilities include:
- Owning end‑to‑end performance reporting and dashboards, presenting insights to senior and executive leadership.
- Proactively generating commercial insights to inform strategic and operational decisions.
- Leading deep‑dive analysis and root cause reviews in partnership with Transformation and Analytics teams.
- Adapting, simplifying and continuously improving reporting to support strategic priorities.
- Supporting the development of financial business cases, challenging assumptions and testing investment logic.
- Leading post‑implementation reviews to assess benefits realisation and investment outcomes.
- Partnering with Property Finance and Transformation teams to ensure consistent modelling and governance approaches.
- Supporting ad‑hoc format initiatives requiring detailed commercial and financial evaluation.
- Leading regular results and performance review forums for transformation programs.
About you and your skills
You are a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in complex, ambiguous environments and enjoys partnering closely with the business to influence outcomes. The successful candidate will have:
- CA/CPA qualified, ideally starting your career in Big 4/Mid-Tier firm.
- Proven experience within a complex Property/Retail or FMCG environment.
- Experience supporting large transformation programs, including business cases and investment governance.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling capability, including large and complex data sets.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leaders.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills without direct authority.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders and presenting at executive level.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and solving complex business problems.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; PowerPoint highly proficient.
