Our Finance team are a vital partner in every aspect of our business, providing commercial insights to drive our success and influence everything we do. With presence in every department, we analyse performance, and deliver actionable insights that shape our strategic decisions.

About the role


As Finance Business Partner - Services, you will be a trusted partner to leaders, providing clear insights, disciplined cost management and commercial analysis that drives performance. You will lead forecasting and planning cycles, develop robust financial models, and translate complex information into actionable recommendations for operational leaders. Your key responsibilities will be:

 

  • Produce accurate, timely reporting that clearly connects operational activity with financial outcomes
  • Analyse cost trends, variances and operational behaviours to identify improvement opportunities
  • Build and maintain driver‑based budgets and forecasts that reflect operational reality
  • Prepare executive‑ready materials for performance discussions and leadership forums
  • Build strong, trust‑based relationships across Services, Procurement, Store Operations and Finance
  • Translate complex financial insights into clear messages that support confident decision‑making
  • Support cost‑out and productivity initiatives by modelling benefits and validating assumptions
  • Build compelling business cases with clear ROI, payback and scenario modelling
  • Leverage tools such as Power BI and automation solutions to improve insight delivery


About you and your skills

 

You bring strong commercial finance capability, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to simplify complexity. You enjoy partnering with operational leaders and influencing decision-making through clear insights and analysis. You will bring:

  • Proven experience in commercial finance or finance business partnering with a large and complex environment (retail/FMCG preferred).
  • CA, CPA, or similar business qualification preferred.
  • Business partnering experience in retail or FMCG desirable but not essential.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Clear and compelling storytelling skills to communicate insights effectively.
  • Proven ability to prepare, interpret, and analyse financial information to identify opportunities, risks, and recommended actions.
  • Adaptable and flexible working style, responsive to changing business needs.
  • Strong collaboration skills, contributing effectively within team environments.
  • Highly motivated and outcome‑focused, with a track record of driving initiatives to delivery.
