Our Finance team are a vital partner in every aspect of our business, providing commercial insights to drive our success and influence everything we do. With presence in every department, we analyse performance, and deliver actionable insights that shape our strategic decisions.
<h3>About the role</h3>
As a Finance Business Partner - Operations Finance, you will play a key role in influencing operational performance and supporting the delivery of strategic outcomes. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will provide insight, challenge assumptions, and drive accountability through data‑led analysis. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with Operations leaders to deliver financial and operational targets.
- Identifying opportunities to improve performance, efficiency, and return on investment.
- Influencing business decision‑making through fact‑based, insightful, and commercially focused analysis.
- Ensuring robust plans are in place to deliver the strategic cost-out plan.
- Identifying and driving process and system improvements to enhance forecasting, reporting, and decision support.
- Leading insight and ROI analysis for transformational initiatives and business cases
- Producing clear, timely, and insightful performance reporting, including variance analysis, trend commentary, and forward‑looking risk and opportunity assessments.
- Providing executive‑ready reporting and narrative to support senior leadership forums and performance discussions.
- Ensuring consistency, accuracy, and transparency of performance metrics across financial and operational reporting..
- Owning financial governance and performance reporting, including:
- Leading the monthly forecast process with clear articulation of risks and opportunities.
- Setting effective budgets and forecasts.
- Conducting disciplined monthly reviews of results against plan.
<h3>About you and your skills</h3>
You bring strong commercial acumen and are comfortable operating in a complex, fast‑moving environment. Ideally, you will have:
- CA or CPA qualification, with experience in retail, FMCG, or a listed corporate environment.
- Proven experience partnering with and influencing senior non‑financial stakeholders.
- Strong capability in analysing financial information to identify insights, risks, and opportunities, and convert them into clear recommendations.
- Well‑developed influencing skills, enabling constructive challenge and win‑win outcomes.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholder expectations effectively.
- A flexible and adaptable working style.
- A collaborative mindset, contributing to team outcomes through knowledge sharing and coordination.
- High levels of motivation and self‑drive, with a passion for improving business performance.
- Strong time management skills and a continuous improvement focus.
