<h3>About the role</h3>
As the Finance Business Partner - Merchandise, you will be partnering across commercial teams to drive sales, margin and costs targets. You will also support stakeholders through financial insight, challenging assumptions, supporting strategic and operational decision making. You will work with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver high quality analysis, business cases, forecasting accuracy and scenario modelling, ensuring the business has a clarity of performance, risks and opportunities. Your key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain robust processes to measure, track and report the financial and operational benefits of commercial initiatives.
- Evaluate performance against targets, providing actionable insights and clear recommendations to influence future commercial strategy.
- Support trade planning through financial modelling, scenario analysis and investment evaluation to optimise decision making.
- Deliver timely, relevant and balanced decision support across trading and commercial priorities, challenging assumptions, forecasts and spend where required.
- Drive insight and ROI analysis for transformational projects and business cases
- Lead monthly performance reporting, including review of actuals, budgets and forecasts, and translate outcomes into meaningful actions.
- Partner with senior leaders to align on strategic initiatives and ensure consistent financial assumptions across teams.
- Use market trends, commercial data and financial expertise to shape strategy, develop corporate plan targets and provide high value recommendations.

You are a confident Finance Business Partner with strong trade background and a passion for turning financial information into clear, actionable insights. Your strength lies in building relationships, challenging constructively, and ensuring commercial and financial outcomes align. You will bring:
- Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner, ideally in merchandise, commercial or product driven environments.
- Strong financial analysis, modelling and forecasting capability with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to support, influence and challenge senior leaders to achieve commercial outcomes.
- A collaborative mindset, working effectively across multiple teams and functions.
- Strong judgement and the ability to balance analytical detail with commercial priorities.
- A continuous improvement lens, with the drive to enhance reporting, processes and commercial understanding.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering timely, high-quality insights and recommendations.
