Our Finance team are a vital partner in every aspect of our business, providing commercial insights to drive our success and influence everything we do. With presence in every department, we analyse performance, and deliver actionable insights that shape our strategic decisions.
About the role
As the Finance Business Partner - Liquor, you'll lead weekly trade analysis, support strategic initiatives, and drive financial governance across planning, forecasting, and supplier income. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Delivering insights into key trade & margin drivers
- Proactively seeks to identify risk and opportunities on sales and margin, and supports and influences to mitigate risks and drive materialisation of opportunities
- Influence business decision making with fact based insightful and innovative analysis
- Ensure plans are in place to deliver the strategic objectives of the Business Unit & strategic initiatives
- Drive insight and ROI analysis of investment business cases such as range reviews
- Track key initiatives and promotions to ensure they are on target to delivered expected outcome
- Supporting annual strategic plan and budget process
- Driving the quarterly forecast process ensuring all risks and opportunities are understood and communicated
- Identifying and implementing process and system improvements to enhance performance and delivery against objectives
About you and your skill
You’re a qualified finance professional with strong leadership, retail/FMCG experience, and a passion for influencing outcomes. Your analytical skills and ability to communicate complex insights make you a trusted business partner. You'll also have:
- Ideally CA, CPA or similar business qualification.
- Business partnering experience in a retail/FMCG environment desirable but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build effective relationships.
- Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to present insights clearly and effectively.
- Proven experience in preparing, understanding and analysing financial information to identify business opportunities/challenges and recommend alternate actions.
- Proven ability to prepare, interpret, and analyse financial information to identify opportunities and risks, and recommend actionable outcomes.
- Adaptable and flexible working style, with the ability to respond effectively to changing stakeholder needs.
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience working as part of a team, sharing knowledge, and contributing to overall team performance.
- Highly motivated and outcome-focused, with a track record of driving initiatives through to completion and engaging stakeholders to ensure delivery.
- Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and continuously improve processes.
