About the role


An exciting new role to support Coles’ Finance Transformation Program to develop our future ready Finance function has arisen. As a Finance Business Partner in the team, you will be at the forefront of transformation by bringing bold and unconstrained thinking and working closely with stakeholders on the journey. Your work will cover the establishment and delivery of the Finance Transformation program of work, including the delivery of initiatives in partnership with teams across the organisation.
There is no such thing as a typical day for the Finance Transformation team due to the breadth of the projects and initiatives that they deliver. We are looking for a Team Member that gets hands-on with  aspects such as processes, systems and change across a broad range of projects.

In this role you will be work shoulder to shoulder with the cross-functional teams to deliver transformational digital and strategic projects for the CFO Function. You will identify a wide range of improvement opportunities and deliver these as projects within an Agile way. You will support the business to bed down new processes and systems through change management activities. 


About you and your skills


We’re after a highly skilled professional with experience delivering finance improvement and transformation projects. Ideally, this will include implementing Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting processes and tools within complex organisations.
You’ll also need:

 

  • a CA / CPA / MBA (or similar) qualification with proven management experience in a complex corporate environment
  • Advanced knowledge of finance processes and experience in the collaborative development of new, or review of existing, processes and/or ways of working 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with significant experience managing internal stakeholders at senior levels
  • Strong analytical and complex problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in delivering impact without direct authority over stakeholder groups
  • Experience with Process Optimisation methodology preferred (Lean 6 Sigma)
  • Demonstrated experience in working in matrix style cross functional teams to develop and deliver change agendas
  • Experience in FMCG Finance Transformation (Preferred)
  • Experience with finance ERP and EPM systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
