About the Role

 

As a Finance Business Partner, you will be a trusted advisor to our Digital Business Leaders, leveraging your financial expertise and strong communication skills to enable informed decision making and drive digital business strategy. You will also be responsible for;  
 

  • Partnering with Digital Business Leaders to proactively manage cost per online order, including store rem and van costs to ensure delivery is in line with budget and strategic objectives
  • Partnering with the product crews within Network to drive return on capital and ensure roadmap initiatives deliver positive customer experience and financial outcomes
  • Work alongside the Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) Finance Team to provide clear reporting and insights into performance across stores and CFC’s
  • Work closely with the Operations Finance Team to ensure alignment on digital operating expense P&L lines within overall supermarket costs 
  • Ownership and presentation of the Corporate Plan, budget, and forecast for operating costs
  • Perform analysis and provide insights to help the business understand performance and drive action to address issues/leverage opportunities
     


About you and your skills 


We are looking for a driven Finance Business Partner who is comfortable challenging and influencing key stakeholders, competent in data-driven storytelling, and capable in navigating complex problems and ambiguity. Ideally you will have had exposure within the digital space, however this is not essential. You will also ideally have;
 

  • CA/CPA or similar business qualification, or near with commercial awareness and business focus
  • Experience in the Retail or FMCG sectors will be highly regarded, alternatively a big 4 or mid-tier environment
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Experience developing dashboards in PowerBI or similar
  • Proven experience in preparing, understanding and analysing financial information to identify business opportunities/challenges and recommend course of action
  • Proven ability to challenge & influence key business stakeholders (finance and non-finance) to achieve best for business outcomes
