About the role

 

As a Finance Business Partner - Commercial Finance, you will provide trusted commercial insights and strategic analysis that enable informed decision making and support sustainable business growth. Your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Partner with Commercial leaders to deliver meaningful financial insights that influence strategic and operational decision making.
  • Prepare robust business cases, investment appraisals and commercial analysis to support new initiatives, growth opportunities and key projects.
  • Develop budgets, forecasts and performance reporting that provide clear visibility of financial outcomes and business performance.
  • Translate complex financial and operational data into actionable insights, identifying opportunities, risks and recommendations.
  • Challenge assumptions through scenario modelling and financial analysis to improve commercial outcomes and support strategic planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement across reporting, financial processes, systems and dashboards to enhance efficiency and decision making.
  • Maintain strong financial governance, controls and compliance while supporting a commercially agile operating environment.
  • Build trusted partnerships across Finance and cross functional teams to deliver collective business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

About you and your skills

 

You are a commercially curious finance professional who enjoys solving complex problems and building practical solutions in an evolving business environment. You thrive where there is opportunity to improve processes and partnering closely with stakeholders. You will also bring:

 

  • CA, CPA or equivalent qualifications and experience in commercial finance within retail, FMCG or another fast paced, customer focused industry.
  • Proven capability developing business cases, financial models and commercial analysis that support strategic investment and growth decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in environments where systems, processes and data are still evolving.
  • Experience working with less mature financial infrastructure, identifying process improvements and developing practical solutions that enhance reporting and commercial outcomes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance audiences.
