Our Finance team are a vital partner in every aspect of our business, providing commercial insights to drive our success and influence everything we do. With presence in every department, we analyse performance, and deliver actionable insights that shape our strategic decisions.
About the role
As a result of an internal promotion, we are now seeking a Finance Business Partner within the Commercial team. The role plays a critical part in enabling performance through financial insight, strong governance, and performance reporting, to support consistent delivery of business objectives. Your key responsibilities include:
- Partnering side by side with Merchandise teams to deliver sales, margin, and cost targets
- Identifying and quantifying opportunities to drive sales performance above plan
- Influencing commercial decision‑making through fact‑based, insightful, and innovative analysis
- Ensuring clear and executable plans are in place to deliver Business Unit strategy and key initiatives
- Driving ROI and commercial analysis for transformational projects and business cases
- Tracking the performance of key initiatives and promotions to ensure expected outcomes are delivered
- Owning financial governance and performance reporting to support accountability and transparency
- Supporting the annual strategic planning and budget process
- Driving the monthly forecasting cycle, clearly articulating risks and opportunities
- Identifying and implementing system and process improvements that enhance insight, efficiency, and delivery against objectives
About you and your skills
You bring strong commercial acumen and a collaborative approach, with the ability to translate financial insight into practical business action and influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups. You will also have:
- CA or CPA qualification, with retail/beauty or FMCG commercial industry experience
- Proven experience partnering with and influencing non‑financial stakeholders
- Strong capability in analysing and interpreting financial information to identify opportunities and risks
- Demonstrated ability to challenge constructively and influence stakeholders to achieve balanced outcomes
- Experience managing competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to operate effectively across functions
- Flexible and adaptable working style, responsive to changing business needs
- High level of self‑motivation with a strong focus on delivery
