About the Role 

The Finance Business Partner - Operations is responsible for partnering with the Coles Liquor Operations leadership team, who manage 960+ stores, and providing them with support on commercial decision-making and on the delivery of the liquor strategic priorities.

 

This role will see the incumbent also collaborating closely with the broader finance team and influencing stakeholders at all levels to achieve best business outcomes. 

 

You will also;  

  • Autonomously lead financial control, governance, and integration of strategic programs & initiatives within Coles Liquor Operations, including supporting preparation of business cases
  • Co-ordinate Liquor Operations project CAPEX & OPEX forecasts
  • Monitor store performance against targets, identifying and managing risks and opportunities
  • Responsible for period end close, including producing reporting and providing financial integrity assurance
  • Manage the annual store budget and monthly forecasting process
  • Deliver complex analysis that effectively draws outs insights to drive value creation
  • Manipulate large data sets, uncover hidden insights, and meaningfully improve our understanding of our business through this process

 

About you and your skills 

We are looking for a collaborative go-getter who is comfortable with ambiguity, and can provide stakeholders with purposeful and clear communication, backed by strong commercial acumen.

 

You will also have; 

  • CA/CPA or similar business qualification or near with commercial awareness and business focus
  • Experience in the Retail or FMCG sectors will be highly regarded
  • Experience in developing business cases to support large scale financial investment
  • Proven ability to challenge & influence key business stakeholders (finance and non-finance) to achieve best for business outcomes
  • Experience presenting simplified complex data and concepts to enable decision-making
  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel and financial modelling skills
