We have a great opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our Merchandise Transformation team. With a team of over 400, our finance team offers large scope for personal development and career opportunities. Working with key business units, you will gain insight in to how our business runs and be part of key strategic initiatives.


About the Role 

As the Finance Business Partner, you will be a trusted advisor to our Pricing & Value team, leveraging your financial expertise and strong communication skills to enable informed decision making and drive pricing strategy.

 

You’ll also:   

  • Support strategic discussions and analysis to enhance Coles pricing strategy and decisions
  • Support planning for these value campaigns to ensure there is an appropriate expected sales and margin outcome
  • Report on sales and margin uplifts of major value campaigns across whole of business
  • Monthly submissions for group planning and investor relations on Coles value activities
  • Enhance governance frameworks and forums to provide a comprehensive view of value investments across Coles
  • Support pricing related project spend, including business case development, forecasting, steering committees and PIRs
  • Build compelling PowerPoint presentations which communicate complex financial messages into a clear story for senior, and non-financial audiences

 

About You and Your Skills

We are looking for a Finance Business Partner who can pivot between being a technically competent contributor, to a skilled communicator and influencer with ease. Previous experience working on pricing strategies, financial analysis/modelling, and heavy business partnering are keys to success in this role. 

 

You’ll also need: 

  • CPA/CA qualified with 2+ years’ post qualification experience
  • FMCG or Retail experience highly regarded
  • Excellent data manipulation and analytical skills, proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and TM1
  • Proven ability to educate financial and non-financial stakeholders on key drivers of performance
