Are you passionate about ethical sourcing, human rights, governance and data management? Coles Group is looking for a dynamic Ethical Sourcing Specialist to enhance our ethical sourcing governance processes, data management systems and ensure compliance with our ethical sourcing program.

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • Analyse and improve on existing ethical sourcing processes and governance systems.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance the experience for internal teams and suppliers.
  • Enhance existing governance structures, policies, and procedures to ensure accountability and transparency.
  • Maintain robust program data to provide actionable recommendations on supplier compliance.
  • Keep accurate records of corrective actions and next steps for suppliers.
  • Communicate, coach, and support suppliers on compliance issues and broader requirements.
  • Investigate supplier allegations and support remediation efforts.
  • Contribute to the delivery of our Ethical Sourcing and Human Rights strategies.
     

 

About you:

 

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in ethical sourcing, risk, compliance, data and process management, legal, quality, or a similar role.
  • Skilled in assessing risks associated with process changes and designing mitigation strategies.
  • Experience in integrating new technologies to automate processes and improve efficiencies.
  • Proficient in creating and maintaining process documentation.
  • Expertise in engaging stakeholders to ensure alignment with process changes.
  • Background in ethical sourcing and human rights, with knowledge of international standards and social compliance audit schemes like Sedex.
  • Business or relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Retail experience preferred.
