What you’ll be doing 

  

As part of the broader Technology team, Corporate Systems are responsible for the development and support of applications across multiple enterprise platforms including Finance, Procurement, People & Culture, Risk, Safety and Legal.  

 

Corporate Systems is an integral part of some key initiatives including SAP implementations, increasing cloud capability and digitising multiple manually intensive processes. 

 

You will be responsible for interacting with the business stakeholders to define the roadmap for the respective platform and to manage initiatives through the funding cycle

In this role you will be responsible for managing some exciting projects within the Corporate Platform team. You will be required to lead and build roadmaps, business cases and manage the delivery of complex technology projects through the full project lifecycle

 

You will be responsible for the delivery of multiple projects that will vary in size, and which will involve working closely with our key vendors and operations business partners, whilst managing resources within the team and other IT teams. 

You will have previous experience successfully managing complex projects that involve cross functional technologies and areas, multiple external parties (including vendors) and previous experience working with critical systems.

You will ideally have a Business Analyst background and experience identifying, gathering and documenting the various elements required for business case development and Roadmap planning by exploring how IT can be used to help the organisation achieve its strategic goals.

 

This role also requires someone with governance experience and the ability to develop solutions to support governance programs, as well as pervious experience in designing sustainable business processes

 

 

Key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Experience identifying, gathering and documenting the various elements required for business case development e.g. financial aspects & business benefits, cost, intangible benefits
  • Exposure to portfolio/project management, delivery and business change methodologies
  • Experience delivering agile and hybrid waterfall/agile projects
  • Experience in translating and aligning business strategies into technology solutions
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships with multiple business stakeholders and teams
  • Develop strong governance and engineering guidelines.

 

 

Good things you’ll need

 

  • Over 5+ years in BA or Project Management roles.
  • Roadmap Planning: Support strategy formation by exploring how IT can be used to help the organisation achieve its strategic goals.
  • Business Requirements Identification:  Collect and define business objectives using a variety of methods and clarify requirements with the stakeholders. 
  • Project Scoping: Determine and document what needs to be achieved and done to deliver a project (e.g., deliverables, tasks, deadlines, resources and costs)
  • Project Management:  Support the delivery of small/medium sized IT projects and initiatives; ensure the services delivered meet the business requirements; manage vendor resource planning; track the financial costs of the project; act as the escalation point when issues arise in project.
  • Portfolio Management: Pro-active oversight of a portfolio of work ensuring adherence to governance guidelines with timely reporting and escalation as required.
  • External contract engagements: Prepare briefings and information for vendors to support the delivery of projects/services.  Monitor and evaluate outcomes and recommend remedial actions where necessary.
  • Business Advice: Provide leadership and guidance to the business in relation to technical landscape supporting; including insights on external industry trends.
