About the role


As the Energy Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of innovative energy and emissions reduction initiatives that strengthen operational resilience, reduce costs and support Coles’ sustainability ambitions. Working across a dynamic national portfolio, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the end to end delivery of energy projects including EV charging, solar, battery storage and load management initiatives across Coles supermarkets
  • Managing project timelines, budgets, risks and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful delivery outcomes
  • Identifying opportunities to improve project performance, efficiencies and long term commercial value
  • Driving accurate reporting of project benefits, emissions outcomes and energy certificate requirements
  • Ensuring all projects are delivered safely with minimal disruption to customers, team members and store operations
  • Implementing technology and energy initiatives aligned to Coles’ strategic sustainability and emissions roadmap
  • Managing and negotiating supplier contracts across CAPEX and OPEX project delivery streams
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to deliver integrated and scalable energy solutions across the business

 

About you and your skills

You are a commercially minded project leader with a passion for energy innovation, sustainability and delivering impactful infrastructure outcomes. With strong technical capability and stakeholder influence, you thrive in fast paced environments and enjoy bringing complex projects to life. You will also bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, Construction or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience delivering EV charging infrastructure, renewable energy or related energy projects
  • Proven capability managing projects from technical scoping through to implementation and delivery
  • Strong commercial acumen including capital budgeting, lifecycle costing, NPV and IRR analysis
  • Demonstrated success delivering retail or industrial infrastructure projects within complex environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to drive outcomes across multiple teams
