About the role
As the Energy Project Manager, you will lead and manage the development and implementation of Energy related CAPEX/OPEX business initiatives such as electric vehicle charging, solar and batteries to reduce Coles’ ongoing cost of doing business, emissions and business resilience. Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Implement comprehensive new energy, emissions reduction projects including EV charging, solar, batteries and load management in Coles supermarkets
- Manage, develop and supervise projects, track results, manage risks to delivery and benefit timing
- Enhance delivery through identification of risks and opportunities
- Capture all benefits through regular and accurate reporting and provide information necessary for energy/carbon certificates
- Ensure projects are delivered in a safe way with close consideration of customers and team members
- Drive & Implement technology projects as highlighted by the strategic roadmap for the energy and emission actions with an integrated portfolio approach
- Manage and negotiate contracts with external CAPEX and OPEX suppliers
About you and your skills
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management or Construction, or equivalent experienc
- Ideally, a background in EV installation or EV charging network
- Proven experience in project management, technical scoping, design & implementation
- Capital budgeting (NPV, IRR, and lifecycle costing)
- Demonstrated experience in Retail & Industrial project delivery
- Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate to achieve objectives
- Demonstrated experience in development of funding requests for capital projects
