<h3>About the role</h3>

 

We're seeking a passionate and driven Energy Analyst to join our team for a 2-year fixed term contract. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in managing and improving the performance of the Origin Energy Alliance and Coles' energy operations. This position is responsible for driving outcomes in energy cost of doing business (CODB) and greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction across all Coles business units, including Supermarkets, Supply Chain, and Liquor.

 

This is a new position where your work will have a direct impact on our operational goals, supporting others in implementing pre-determined plans and standards. You will work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including finance, engineering, and procurement teams, as well as external contractors and partners like Origin Energy. Your role will involve influencing change and delivering outcomes by building relationships and leveraging your expertise.

 

You will also:

  • Perform financial valuations for projects, track program costs, and assist in negotiating lease variations with landlords
  • Manage financial settlements and communicate project scope and timelines to stakeholders
  • Respond to stakeholder inquiries about energy information, support the maintenance of emission models, and support stores and team members
  • Collate information for creating energy certificates and handle PPA settlement administration

 

 

<h3>About you and your skills</h3>

 

We're looking for someone with proven negotiation and influencing skills, and a demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to analyze data and create reports. People and stakeholder management skills in a fast-paced environment are also essential.

 

You'll also have:

  • Experience in business analytics, energy analytics, or operations
  • A tertiary or trade qualification in Business, Data Analytics, or Engineering (or a similar field)
  • Strong interest in environmental sustainability topics like climate change, energy, and emissions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, financial literacy, and problem-solving abilities
