About the role

 

A new, permanent opportunity for a Domain Architect is now available at Coles.

 

Reporting to the Delivery Manager – Salesforce, the primary function of this role will include:

 

  • developing a Salesforce Org IT/Architectural strategy
  • influence adoption of relevant development principles and standards in alignment with the strategy
  • facilitate workshops to understand business needs and review business requirements, with the goal to determine appropriate architectural/solution design approach
  • responsible for designing solutions, data models and integration architecture to support business and technical initiatives
  • helping resolve issues and driving continuous improvement.
  • contribute to the continuous improvement of the team and the business by analysing, investigating and introducing new technologies that will benefit the engineering team and/or our stakeholders
  • coach, guide and support team members throughout the SDLC with respect to architectural design decisions
  • Model key Coles values and contribute to a positive team culture

 

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to the below:

 

  • Engage with and manage the expectations of all stakeholders
  • Create a team/collaborative approach between the Salesforce delivery team, the business and other IT teams
  • Provide strong leadership, vision and coaching to the delivery team
  • Coach, guide and support team members throughout initial engagement and project delivery lifecycle
  • Interpret and understand business needs, priorities and urgency and apply these considerations throughout the solution design process
  • Facilitate solution design reviews with internal and external stakeholders
  • Relevant industry networking
  • Network and engage with the wider Salesforce community
  • Participate in the development of a ‘results oriented’ culture within the Coles IT & delivery communities
  • Accountable for individual compliance with company values, policies and procedures (including Coles Code of Conduct) and all applicable external laws and regulations.

 

About you & your skills

 

  • Proven years of experience in a Salesforce architecture or other relevant role e.g. Solution Architecture, Engineering Manager, Tech Lead
  • Strong technical acumen and experience in working across multi cloud environments; Service, Experience (Portals), Marketing, B2B
  • Proven experience or at least an understanding of Apex, Triggers, Classes and Lightning Web Components, API Web Services and Salesforce declarative programming techniques.
  • DevOps experience preferred, including use of DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Able to work independently with limited direction and collaboratively in a large team
  • Strong written & verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Strong and creative problem-solving skills.

 

Commercial Skills and Formal Qualifications

 

  • Preferred Bachelor in Information Systems or any other relevant degree
  • Relevant Salesforce knowledge and certifications, including App Builder, Administrator, Platform Developer I & Platform Developer-II (Nice to have), System Architect or Application Architect II, Service Cloud and Community Cloud
