About the role
The Digital Trade Analyst at Coles Group plays a key role in driving the growth and optimisation of Cole Liquor Group's (CLG) digital and online presence by leveraging data insights. This role is responsible for leading end-to-end digital analytics across a variety of cross-functional digital teams, focusing on delivering actionable insights to support trade growth, website optimisation, and commercial analysis.
Key responsibilities include providing weekly insights to the digital trade teams, managing analytics platforms (including GA4 and tagging), and overseeing the technical setup and maintenance of CLG's digital systems. The Digital Trade Analyst will also work closely with the Web Product squad to provide customer journey analytics and support digital trade initiatives across web and digital channels. Additionally, the role involves managing digital tools such as chatbots, Medallia, and Bazaar Voice, while continuously collaborating with internal teams to drive data-driven change and improvements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital analytics, a passion for e-commerce, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams with data-driven insights that support business objectives and digital growth.
About you and your skills
- 3 – 5 years minimum experience in digital analytics with a focus on ecommerce, digital channels and Product squads.
- Advanced experience and knowledge of digital metrics and measurements across a digital/web ecosystem.
- Technical knowledge and expertise in analytics systems / tagging for GA , Adobe Analytics and Tealium.
- Experience working in partnership or alongside Product Squads.
- Experience in digital media performance measurement and reporting, including implementation and monitoring of media tags.
- Experience creating reports and dashboards with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, google data studio, Power BI).
- Excellent written communication skills to simply and clearly articulate findings and insights to stakeholders.
- Microsoft Azure and AWS Adthena highly advantageous.
- Experience in advanced analytics by utilising knowledge of statistical analyses using R/Python preferred.
- Experience in Voice of Customer analytics.
- Experience in media mix modelling solutions, with proven track record in building strong attribution models.
