About the role

With over 2500 retail locations around the country, our Property team looks after one of the most dynamic portfolios in Australia. We’re growing too, so it’s a great time to jump on board and build your career.

We’re looking for an exceptional Design Innovation Manager to join our team on an initial 12-month contract.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be at the forefront delivering world-class step change design improvement to our Coles and Coles Local Supermarkets. Working with cross-functional business teams you’ll aim to deliver Category, Proposition and Format Innovation to improve the full customer journey in support of renewal and strategic plans.

Other ways you can make an impact include:

  • project managing innovation projects ensuring they’re on time and within budget

Good things you’ll need

  • a background in architectural/interior/product design combined with relevant tertiary qualifications
  • working knowledge of industry trends in retail and graphic design
  • several years’ experience managing retail design projects and teams from brief to concept to implementation
  • strong proven track record of design delivery and documentation, standards production plus building and costing knowledge
  • the ability to deal with and influence senior leaders up to GM level
  • build and manage relationships in fast pace environments sharing knowledge as necessary
  • pro-actively manage external consultant base on project by project basis to deliver objectives
  • experience in on-site work where correlation between design, detailing and construction has been fully realised
  • comfort managing external design consultants/agencies
  • experience with AutoCad/Revit or equivalent, Adobe creative suite, Sketchup Microsoft suite of Office tools as well as 3D model experience
