About the role

As part of the executive team across Merch Platforms, this role will entail you to manage 2 major retail ready manufacturing facilities located across Sydney. The Delivery Manager will be responsible for both Retail Ready Operations Austria (RROA) and the Chef Fresh NSW (CFNSW) manufacturing sites. RROA is our highly automated meat processing facility, CFNSW on the other hand, is Coles’ first owned retail readymade meals production facility. You will be hands on offering strategic advice on various projects, managing the IT team across hardware, software, and system issues, and building ongoing relationships across internal and external stakeholders and or vendors.


What you’ll be doing

As the Delivery Manager you will be responsible for all IT functions at 2 major food processing manufacturing sites. You will have extensive experience and understanding of the technology impacts to the manufacturing operational environment and its processes, and in managing a multi-site IT operation. You will be an advocate on diversity and change and have the ability to influence others. You will bring your comprehensive expertise in IT leadership and IT operation within the manufacturing industries and have experience in delivering and managing large-scale projects and operations.


You’ll also:

  • Experience in line management of a medium size team
  • Oversee the delivery of multiple projects in a portfolio
  • Ability to produce and deliver upon strategic technology roadmaps
  • Financial Management – this includes; working within a budget to complete projects, negotiating with and contracting vendors, assisting with budget development, and meeting targets


Good things you’ll need

As the Delivery Manager you will need extensive experience across IT and Manufacturing. You have a great understanding of project strategy, governance and managing budgets. Within your experience, you will have managed a mid to large team of IT professionals across various levels and functions. You have proven experience in IT disaster recovery and have developed and enacted detailed recovery plans and processes. Throughout your career, you have gained comprehensive experience in stakeholder and vendor management, developing your ability to unite various teams and open the lines of communication. 


You’ll also need

  • The capability to oversee all project activities within the Manufacturing portfolio, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and adhering to Coles Governance Standards.
  • Prepare strategic technology roadmaps for manufacturing.
  • Contract Outcome driven, ensuring all SLAs are met across all external vendors.
  • Identify areas of development with a team, and actively train and work towards developing team members within these areas.
