Our Technology team is the backbone of the business, building and maintaining the information technology infrastructure that support Coles Group. As a part of the Technology team, you get the opportunity to work through complex, challenging, meaningful problems using large data sets and new technologies to expand your skills and experience.

As a Delivery Manager in our Enterprise Engineering team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering strategic technology initiatives that drive business value and operational excellence.
About the role:
As a Delivery Manager – Enterprise Engineering, you will:
- Contribute to the development of domain technology roadmaps and the overall Technology strategy, articulating long-term vision and deliverables using horizon planning.
- Lead business case development for all initiatives within the Enterprise Engineering delivery portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic Technology and Enterprise objectives.
- Support business case development for initiatives requiring Enterprise Engineering capabilities.
- Drive investment planning, prioritisation and dependency management across the delivery portfolio, ensuring the highest value initiatives (financial, customer, risk remediation etc.) are delivered first.
- Standards Formation: Define and develop standards for specific domains (e.g. SLAs, applications, data, integration, technology, security, business), and recommend adjustments to policies, products or projects to achieve target business outcomes.
- Program Planning: Lead the overall transformation program plan including objectives, success measures, resource requirements and business case development, ensuring alignment with the technology roadmap.
- Program Delivery: Oversee and coordinate delivery of multiple concurrent projects and/or enterprise engineering deliverables into other projects, managing risks, blockers and interdependencies.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion improvements to policies, processes, delivery outcomes and culture, and lead the transition to new methodologies such as Agile.
- Information & Business Advice: Provide leadership and insights on the technology landscape and external industry trends.
- Financial Management: Contribute to setting financial targets, monitor performance through reporting, and conduct analysis to assess outcomes.
About you and your skills:
You’ll bring a strong mix of technical delivery expertise, strategic thinking and people leadership, including:
- At least 10 years of IT experience in roles such as Project Manager, Delivery Manager, Program Manager or Consultant, in both waterfall and agile environments.
- At least 5 years of engineering or integration delivery experience, working in ambiguous and challenging environments.
- Proven experience delivering large programs of work and minor works, including transition to BAU.
- Advanced understanding of the broader technology operational environment (processes, procedures, toolsets, operating systems, etc.).
- A passionate people leader with experience managing diverse teams across varying delivery cadences.
- Strong ability to define and execute strategies that align technology deliverables with business goals.
- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and manage relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Experience using metrics to drive behavioural change and improve customer outcomes.
- Ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in launching high-quality, business-critical products in complex enterprise environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and direction.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Strong stakeholder management experience, including with senior leaders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
