About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our Customer Analytics team in a permanent full-time role, using advanced analytics and machine learning to solve complex customer and commercial problems at scale.
Working with large and complex customer datasets, you’ll develop analytical solutions that support better decision-making and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our data science practices.
What you will do
You’ll develop, deploy and maintain advanced analytics and machine learning solutions that support customer, product and marketing decisions. Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll ensure your work delivers measurable business outcomes.
You will also
- Develop, validate and deploy predictive models, machine learning solutions and customer segmentations.
- Monitor model performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Measure the customer, commercial and operational impact of analytical solutions.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Loyalty, Finance and Technology teams to solve business problems.
- Build reusable code, tools and analytical assets that improve team efficiency.
- Apply privacy, security, governance and responsible AI practices throughout your work.
About You and Your Skills
You’re an experienced Data Scientist with strong expertise in statistics, machine learning and programming, and a track record of delivering analytical solutions in a commercial environment.
You combine technical excellence with commercial thinking, communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, and enjoy collaborating to solve complex problems.
You will also have
- Strong SQL and Python skills.
- Experience developing predictive models, including classification, regression, clustering or segmentation.
- Experience working with large customer, transactional or behavioural datasets.
- Strong software engineering practices and experience building reproducible analytical solutions.
- A tertiary qualification in computer science, statistics, mathematics, econometrics, economics or a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- The ability to explain complex analytical concepts clearly to a range of stakeholders.
