About the role 

 

Our Digital team is continuously growing and we’re going through a transformation. We’re looking for a Data Scientist to join our Engineering team to enhance the shopping experience by providing personalised recommendations, making the shopping journey easier, and more enjoyable for customers.

You will
 

  • Develop and maintain machine learning models for personalisation and recommendations 

  • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality and pipeline efficiency 

  • Conduct exploratory data analysis and model evaluation 

  • Determine logics for A/B testing to measure the impact of new models 

  • Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through reports and presentations 

 
You have   

  • Extensive xperience in data science and machine learning  

  • Development and deployment of ML models for recommendation systems 

  • Strong programming skills in Python or R 

  • Proficient in SQL for querying and performance tuning 

  • Experience with data processing and analysis using Python 

  • Familiarity with libraries and frameworks like Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch  

  • Exposure to cloud technologies (Azure preferred) 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  

 

Desirable Experience

 

  • Familiarity with big data tools like Spark or Hadoop  

  • Experience with A/B testing and experimentation 

  • Understanding of deep learning techniques 

  • Exposure to natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision 

  • Familiarity with Generative AI (GenAI) techniques and tools
