About the role
 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst Lead to join the Operations and Compliance team in a Full-Time and Permanent capacity, reporting into our National Ops Manager – Data Insights. 


Embedded in the Operations and Compliance team, the focus of this role is to lead and directly influence the digestion and analysis of operational data as the team creates actionable insights and tools and optimize store performance and supply chain efficiency. 

 
In this role, you can expect to:

 

  • Lead the analytics to monitor and improve operational metrics (e.g. inventory accuracy, process efficiency and more).
  • Lead the continuous improvement opportunities of the current suite of operational tools (such as Snowflake and PowerBI), while seeking new data sources and analytical techniques. 
  • Identify and validate opportunities to enhance operational data assets and ensure their alignment with business goals.
  • Partner with Finance Data Insights, Supply Chain Data and Technology teams to align and support enterprise strategic ambitions.
  • Lead internal stakeholder relationships to ensure insights are actionable and directly inform operational activities, such as inventory management, staffing, and process optimisation.
  • Provide insights to operational leaders to support informed decision-making, improve store-level outcomes, and optimise supply chain processes.
  • Provide insights to validate hypotheses and business case outcomes

 
About you and your skills:


As an experienced Lead Data Analyst, with a strong understanding of an Operations environment, you will enjoy working in a cross-functional team.


You will also have in your tool kit:

 

  • A strong understand of operations in a corporate environment. 
  • Practical experience managing datasets and systems maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining collaborative cross-functional relationships to ensure objectives are clear, communication is open, and insights and recommendations provide are understood. 
  • Data visualisation and dashboard build experience (PowerBI, Tableau).
  • Expertise in analysing data sets, quantitative analysis, data mining and creating visualisations of data to tell stories.
  • Advanced Excel reporting and analytical skills. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven success in communicating complex analysis across all levels within a business.
