About the role
 

By combining the fast-paced culture of retail with the ever-growing world of ecommerce, Coles Online takes the time and effort out of grocery shopping. With services such as Home Delivery, Click & Collect and smart lockers, we’re always working on new ways to make life a little easier for our customers – no matter where they are 

 


As a key member of our growing Analytics and Insights team, the Customer Analytics & Insights Specialist, will drive actionable change in digital and eCommerce by having a deep understanding of our customers and what drives their behaviour. You will help us understand more deeply what drives customer behaviour and advocacy by analysing purchasing patterns, customer feedback and changes in customer behaviour.

What you’ll be doing

 

You will work with key stakeholders to provide insights into what drives customer purchasing habits and advocacy through the effective analysis of customer purchasing habits and behaviour on different touchpoints of their shopping journey.

 

You will also:

 

  • Provide expertise into customer segments and how to use them to improve customer experience in eCommerce. 
  • Design tests to understand the impact and performance of initiative on customer behaviour
  • Convert business outcomes into measurable metrics.
  • Assist in supporting other Coles teams in understanding the digital and eCommerce customer and what drives their behaviour.
  • Automating the reporting and audience creation process where possible.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and business programme managers to ensure that your recommendations are implemented in the optimal way

 

 
Good things you’ll need:
We are after a passionate, customer obsessed analytics and insights professional with experience working in or with large, customer centric and complex organisations.
 
You will also need:

 

  • Proven experience analysing data to reveal new actionable insights that have driven real business value.
  • Ability to understand and link together different pieces of information to bring together the full story.
  • Understanding or experience working with relational databases and knowledge of the languages (e.g. SQL, Python)
  • Experience with visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) is advantageous.
  • Experience building customer segmentation models or knowledge of they are created highly regarded.
