Our Coles Liquor team work across three leading brands (Liquorland, First Choice Liquor Market and Vintage Cellars), each with their own unique offering and customer base. With a network of more than 930 stores and ultra-convenient online sites, delivering on our commitment to provide accessible drink solutions for every occasion.
About the role
The Communication & Activity Coordinator is responsible for working cross-functionally across the entire Coles Liquor organisation owning internal communication to Coles Liquor team members. Working cross-functionally you'll provide strategic input to help drive and support the implementation of the trade plan and communication of other activities impacting store operations.
This role supports the Liquor and Operations teams to build, plan and deliver clear, concise, and engaging communications targeted to store team members and above store teams.
On a day-to day basis you work with key business leaders to validate the operational direction provided in communications and ensure there is alignment to business strategy. You'll ensure communications meet brand standards and are linked to the Coles Liquor Strategy and overall Coles vision and purpose.
You’ll also:
- Provide advice on how to best engage teams with activity, trading and change initiatives
- Write, edit, and produce a wide range of consistent and effective communication materials
- Champion store activity planning to ensure initiatives are delivered and land right first time
- Engage with Trade Planning, Marketing, Merchandise and Store Operations teams to manage change initiatives and national rollouts
- Ensure all activity is planned effectively, monitoring progress and timelines with progress back to owners and operational teams
- Ensure relevant stakeholders are engaged during the development/review process to identify consolidation opportunities and reduce complexity to stores
- Build strong partnerships within Central Operations, along with Marketing, Corporate Affairs, Merchandise, Supply Chain and HR to ensure messaging is aligned
About you and your skills
We’re looking for a communications professional with experience in writing internal and business communications. Key to success in this role is the ability to actively partner with relevant stakeholders to provide advice, manage stakeholder expectations and influence outcomes.
You’ll also need:
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- High attention to detail, along with strong organisational and planning skills
- Proven experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
- High level of discretion with confidential information
- Previous retail communications experience is highly preferred
